Day 22 – Happy VS Sad – 快乐 VS 悲伤

Day 22

Today is a HAPPY and SAD day for me!! Well, let’s see what we did today. As usual, Physiology lecture started at 9am but as Dr. Lau is leaving tomorrow, today’s lecture was a summary of what he had taught and a brief introduction to Urinary System, which we will learn tomorrow.

1.5 hours later, the lecture ended and we all went back to our dormitory rooms. We switched on our laptops and the first thing I did was to watch 《公主嫁到》 episode 28. At about 1pm, Geena went out with Yan Fang, etc to 建设七路 for shopping while Jas Min and I went to the provision shop near our dormitory building in search of food.

In the end, my lunch was chocolate biscuits with pearl milk tea (the pearls were so disgustingL) and Jas Min’s lunch was instant noodles and milk tea. Then, I continued watching the drama and at last, I finished the drama at 3.20pm. Congrats me! LOL. Shortly later, Geena returned with empty hands.

At about 4.15pm, we went out but as we were not hungry yet, so we walked to 建设三路 and shopped at the bookstore. 1 hour later, we walked to the Greenery Café but it was full house. Dr. Lau then left his contact number so that when there are seats for the 22 of us, we will be informed. After that, we went back to our classroom to plan for the Cultural Exchange Performance.

During the discussions, there was display of fireworks suddenly! It was AWESOME, hahaJ but it only lasted for a couple of minutes. At last, at 7pm, we were notified that the tables were ready and we went to the Greenery Café.

We really had a lot of fun and chatted during the dinner! We were making so much noise that other customers complained and the waitress told us to speak softly. BUT still, we were having fun! Before we left, we gave Dr. Lau a notebook filled with our messages for him in appreciation of all that he had done for us! Thank you, Dr. LauJ

Bottom: My dinner: Grilled Duck Breast. Such a big contrast! Somemore, it's bean sprouts that are below the meat, not spaghetti!!

At 9.30pm, we left the restaurant and walked back to our dormitory rooms. Along the way, we chatted, laughed and had a lot of fun! I bet the locals think that we were crazy as we were all like super high and excited, hahaJ One look at us and you could tell that we are not locals!

We took group and individual photos with Dr. Lau at level 1 of the dormitory building. All of us were sad that he is leaving tomorrow. BUT we will see him on 17 Oct at Changi AirportJ After he had left and by the time we went back to our rooms, it was already 10.30pm.

With that, I shall conclude and hope that you guys could feel my HAPPINESS and SADNESS!!

Reflections:

Well, I am really sad that Dr. Lau is leaving us. After spending 22 days with him, I am really glad to have come for this OIP trip! He makes this trip enjoyable, fun and memorable! I could not picture not having him with us in this OIP trip! I am going to miss his lectures and his sense of humour! Thanks Dr. Lau for all that you have done for us! See you on 17 Oct J

P.S. Welcome to Wuhan, Mr Imran J
