Day 1 - Arrival in Wuhan – 离乡背井

Day 1

I am now lying on my bed in the dormitory, using my fingers and brain cells to update you guys about my day so far. Today is my second day in Wuhan and there are a lot of stories to tell.

Flight Details:

14 Sep SIN-CAN (CZ 354) 1325/1725

14 Sep CAN-WHN (CZ 3367) 2100/2225

I was mostly in and out of planes. In the late evening, we were at Bai Yun Port in Guang Zhou (白云机场), waiting for the flight to Wuhan. While waiting, we realized that we could connect to the internet and many of us were using laptop, trying to connect to FaceBook or our family members. The flight to Wuhan was delayed and we landed at Wuhan Tian He Airport (天河机场) at 11.15pm, about 50 minutes behind the scheduled time.

Some photos that I took on my journey:

Taking off to Wuhan from Guang Zhou

1.30am

We reached the dormitory at 1.30am due to the flight delay. Our room is at level 2 and we had to carry our heavy luggages up via stairs as there is no lift. I was surprised when I first stepped into Room 223. It was not what I had expected it to be. There are air-conditioning, 3 double-decker beds, 3 tables and a not-so-bad bathroom.

P.S. Bai Yun Port is under construction and I was not happy at all L but at least the cubicles in the toilets have doors:)

The messy room:)

Reflections:

I missed Singapore badly!!! Especially the weather!! When we arrived, it was so humid and foggy. I could hardly breathe! How I wish I am still in Singapore... ...

Photo of the day:

Guess what is the white light? It is the MOON!!! The orange light is located on the wing of the plane.

More exciting stories are yet to come:)

Get ready for Day 2 post:)

33 more days before I return home:)
