Although I only had 4⅟2 hours of sleep, I felt good and energized.
9am
The breakfast was MacDonald’s Fish Fillet Burger. It was okay except that the fish fillet tasted slightly salty.
10am
I was out into the sun at last. The weather was hot and wearing a cap did not help at all. We had a tour around the campus. The campus is HUGE and it took about 10 to 15 minutes to get to the building, where we will be having our lessons tomorrow. And the worse thing to mention is that, our lesson is at 9am tomorrow. There goes my sleep.

11am
We were outside of the campus finally!!! The shopping mall and the supermarket were about 20 to 30 minutes away from the campus. When we went into the supermarket, all of us became “aunties” and “uncles”. We grabbed trolleys and baskets and off we went, to shop for the stuff we needed for our 5-week stay. At the checkout counters, our bill was RMB 220.10 (additional RMB 0.20 charge for a plastic bag). It was unbelievable, right? Haha J

1.30pm
We were back to our own rooms and I was glad to be away from the hot sun. We unpacked everything and settled down, not knowing what to do next.
The items that we purchased:)
2pm
Laptops were on. We planned what to write for our blog post and took turns surfing the internet as there is only one internet cable available.
4.15pm
We went out to buy dinner from a nearby street and had an early dinner at our rooms.
Look at the food! They are all exposed to the air!

Reflections
In the morning, a man knocked on the door and I answered. He said 维修 which means maintenance/repair. However, he spoke too fast and said it with an accent that I could not understand what he was trying to say. It was only until he went into the bathroom and checked the taps then I figured out what he was saying. From this incident, I learnt that language barrier will always exist between people from different countries and cultures. To overcome it, we have to do research beforehand and try to be more understanding.
